Welcome to Vermont Nikki Haley

Below are my remarks from a rally in South Burlington on March 3, 2024 to help introduce Ambassador Nikki Haley to Vermont. You can also watch the video below.

Hello Vermont!

What a wonderful day it is to welcome Governor, Ambassador, and our future President, Nikki Haley, to our beloved state!

I stand before you not just as an individual, but as part of a unified force. We come from diverse backgrounds – farmers, brewers, mothers, fathers, Republicans, Independents, Democrats – all gathered here today because we demand more from the highest office in our land.

We deserve a future brimming with opportunity, not one impaired by chaos. We deserve a democracy that uplifts our citizens, rather than tearing down opponents with petty insults and divisive rhetoric.

For those who know me personally, you're familiar with our family motto: "to leave it on the field." Ambassador Haley has exemplified this mindset every step of her journey. From her candidacy announcement over a year ago to every debate, town hall, and now here in Vermont, Nikki Haley has left it all on the field. Like true Vermonters, she embodies hard work, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

Many of us here today feel our voices have been drowned out since 2016. It's been eight long years, and we're ready to reclaim our voices and make them heard once more.

Why am I here? Because I believe that less intrusive governance is effective governance. I believe in collaboration as the cornerstone of success. This isn't about labels – liberal, moderate, conservative, or MAGA – this is about what's best for our nation, here and now.

At this pivotal moment, I choose leadership and cooperation over chaos and deception. I choose a future built on solid principles rather than endless legal battles. If Washington could learn anything from Vermont, it's our commitment to civil discourse and listening to diverse perspectives. Perhaps Donald Trump could take notes from Vermonters and engage in meaningful debates.

As a Vermont Republican, I stand with those whose voices have been stifled for too long. Together, we reject the politics of division and embrace a vision of unity and progress.

For almost two decades, we've witnessed the ups and downs of different administrations. This is the fifth straight Presidential Election with either Biden or Trump on the ticket. As we stand on the cusp of 2024, are we ready to acknowledge that the majority of Americans are weary of the Biden-Trump era? I am. And I know Vermonters are too.

My support for Nikki Haley transcends gender; as a mother, I understand the importance of securing a promising future for our children.

Consider the world we're passing on to our children. What legacy do we wish to leave? What image do we want America to project to the world?

Vermont, let's stand on the right side of history. There's less than 48 hours left – let's reject chaos and hatred, and embrace leadership and democracy in action!

Let's make history, Vermonters. Let's propel Nikki Haley across the finish line when we cast our ballots on Tuesday!
