Tony Micklus Supports Ashley Bartley

For the past couple of years serving in the State House, I have had the joy and privilege of working with many dedicated Representatives. One of those Representatives is Ashley Bartley. We have worked closely together on one of Vermont’s most pressing challenges: solving the housing crisis and bringing affordability back to our state.

When I heard Senator Chris Mattos would not be running again and then learned that Ashley was stepping forward to run for his Senate seat, I was genuinely excited. Ashley has served four years in the House, including this past year as Vice Chair of Housing and General Affairs. She also co-founded the Caucus for Vermont’s Economy a group dedicated to bringing affordability back to Vermont by streamlining the permitting process.  She is familiar with leadership, comfortable taking on responsibility, and deeply committed to the work.

I have found Ashley to be sensible, rational, and thoughtful. She is passionate about important issues, including fertility rights, affordability, housing, and restoring a greater sense of security for Vermonters. While I will miss serving with her in the House, I have full confidence in Ashley’s ability to serve us well in the Senate.

I am proud and happy to offer her my full endorsement and support.
